Dry Verge & Dry Ridge System

Dry verge systems are a simple, effective way of securely fixing concrete interlocking tiles without the need for mortar. Over time storm damage becomes an issue with mortar as it begins to chip away at the edging and leave it open to rain, birds and other pest.

Once installed the dry verge seals off the gable end securing it from water damage and wind. Each individual verge cap is locked into the next one and secured with screws through to your timbers, making sure they never come loose even in the harshest of weather. Dry Ridge Systems have become popular in recent years as an alternative method of fixing ridge and hip tiles to the roof over the more traditional sand and cement method. Using mortar to fix roof ridge tiles is not only time consuming, but the mortar often cracks and falls out over time, causing leaks and potential further damage.

A&A Roofing dry ridge system simply involves fixing ridge and hip tiles to a roof without sand or cement mortar, but instead with screws and clamps, which fix each ridge tile to the roof. Once installed, a dry ridge system requires very little maintenance – unlike the traditional mortar based ridge system which requires regular maintenance to replace degraded mortar.
